Mrs. Françoise MUJAWAMARIYA, is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Midwifery, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Rwanda, she is a registered midwife (RM) with Bachelors ‘degree in Nursing with honors in Midwifery obtained in 2015 at College of Medicine and Health Sciences Nyarugenge Campus and she is a neonatal nurse with master’s degree obtained in 2019 at University of Rwanda. She has 14 years of experience in nursing and midwifery education and practice including supervision of EBP in upgrading program.

She has taught different courses at undergraduate students among others fundamentals of Midwifery, Neonatal Care, fundamental of Nursing, medical and surgical Nursing, Obstetric and neonatal Care and works as a clinical preceptor for students in General Nursing and Midwifery at various clinical healthcare facilities in Rwanda. Furthermore, she has led the module of Fundamental, of midwifery, pharmacology to midwifery and Child Health Care. She has a good clinical experience of providing mentorship for students in General Nursing and Midwifery field

She worked as practicing in teaching Hospital of Rwanda Military Hospital in surgical ward for two years.

She is a member of Rwanda association of Midwifery (RAM) and RNMU (Rwanda Nurses and Midwives Union).

In addition to her University studies, she benefited additional knowledge and skills from various attended trainings, workshops and conferences including  HIV/AIDS, SONU( Emergency Care in Obstetrics and Neonatology ) ,  ALSO ( Advanced Life Support in Obstetric) as instructor, Doula Skills Training-mind, Body, Spirit of the Laboring Mother Respectful Maternity care, Nursing Care Process and Nursing Care, Mentorship both theory and practice ,  Effective teaching skills,  E- learning teaching ,   master  trainer on Helping Babies Breath ,  Research and Research methods, Female &Family [e] education, Teaching methodology,  she  was participated in conference of  Global Innovations in Nursing and Midwifery Education, Research, and Practice  and she was participated in  revised Midwifery curriculum .

She has been participating in various research projects implementation using both qualitative and quantitative methods.  Her research interests are maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive Health, communicable and non-communicable diseases.

She is good in English, French and little Swahili, her hobbies are gospel music, watching films and reading novels and newspapers .She like to share and to exchange knowledge and experience with other professional health providers
