Dieudonne Kayiranga is a Nurse clinician, educator, researcher and leader. He is a specialized and licensed Pediatric Nurse. He holds Bachelors (with Honours) and Masters in Nursing from the University of Rwanda. He has over 12 years of experience working as an academic staff at the University of Rwanda. He has been the Deputy Dean of the School, Deputy Coordinator of School Postgraduate programs and Head of Department since 2011 to 2020. He has also been the Chairperson of Educators Chapter at Rwanda Nursing and Midwifery Union.

Currently, Dieudonne is a PhD student working on HIV in adolescents. He is the Chair of Continued Professional Development (CPD) at the University of Rwanda School of Nursing and Midwifery. In addition, he is a Journal Reviewer at 2 peer-reviewed journals, Editorial Board Member at the Journal for the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, a member of Board of Directors at Rwanda National Council of Nurses and Midwives, and an external examiner at 3 national and regional Universities. He is also an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honour Society of Nursing and an active member of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. Along with his education and profession, Dieudonne received numerous professional Awards and special recognition including being “Best Employee of the Year”, professional diploma and certificates.

Dieudonne participates in different promotional, curative and rehabilitative activities in different settings. He has clinical skills, teaching skills, academic leadership, and research grant management. He has been a member of organizing committees for 2 scientific international conferences. He has over 7 research publications and has successfully contributed to over 5 research grants respectively as Project Principal Investigator, Co- Principal Investigator, Project Director and Research Assistant (check details at https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0324-4150  and ResearcherID: W-4217-2017). His research interest is in HIV, Maternal Child Health, Sexual and reproductive health, and Interprofessional collaboration and Education. He supervises students’ research projects for both postgraduate and undergraduate nursing and midwifery students. He has supervised over 7 Master’s thesis from 2017.
