This School of Nursing and Midwifery occupies a unique position in the education of nurses and midwives in Rwanda, making a positive impact on the quality of the healthcare workforce in the country. The School is also aiming to positively influence the health care in the region and contribute to global health care development by producing well trained and educated nurses and midwives to serve in the health care delivery system. The School offers diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Students have adequate and relevant exposures to theoretical knowledge and practical skills before they graduate, as they are required to manage the clients holistically across the continuum of care. The school conducts community outreach activities in order to participate in health promotional activities and prevention of diseases.
The School continues to work with different partners at national, regional and international levels, to share and acquire global knowledge and skills required for today nurses and midwives that care for patients around the globe.
